About This Product

The HLB uses the same wedge-integrated structure technology as the Hardlock Nut, so it can maintain the initial preload for a long period of time no matter how large a repeated load is applied. This also leads to longer life of rotating bodies and bearings.

■Features・Wedge-based integration technology maintains initial rigidity and initial preload to prevent damage to bearings: The traditional Japanese technique of driving wedges into the gaps between bolts and nuts integrates screws and prevents them from loosening. The ultimate lock nut that completely eliminates loosening. As a result, an appropriate initial preload amount can be maintained for a long period of time, and various damage to the bearing caused by a decrease in rigidity can be prevented.

・The thread shear strength is more than twice that of a general bearing lock nut (in the case of an uneven set): 3.1 Thread shear strength test using a universal testing machine - Compared to a general lock nut made of the same material, the HLB has a lower number of threads when set is approximately twice as high, so the overall thread strength of the nut is also more than twice as strong. 3.2 High load repeated durability test - Using a fatigue testing machine, a high load of 15% (30kN) of the thread shear strength (approximately 200kN for M20) was repeated 1 million times, and both the HLB and bolt were destroyed. That never happened.
