About This Product

■Features

It is characterized by a round convex head with a part of the sphere cut out. The English name is truss head screw. It is called a truss machine screw because its appearance from the side resembles the architectural term ``truss'' (a frame structure made with triangles as the basic unit). There are names such as truss screw, truss screw, and cross-recessed truss machine screw. When comparing the same nominal diameter, the head is lower and the head diameter is larger than that of a pan head machine screw, and the screw head is exposed on the surface after tightening. The wide seating area reduces contact pressure and prevents the seating surface from sinking or plastic deformation during fastening, making it effective for fastening soft materials such as lumber. In addition, it is possible to tighten with high torque and increase the axial force, which can be expected to prevent loosening due to vibration and impact. It can also be used without a washer in larger mounting holes or oblong holes. Because it has a clean appearance, it is suitable for exterior use, and is often used for architectural parts and furniture. This is a metric thread. The size is expressed as M (nominal diameter mm) x (nominal length mm), and like pan head machine screws, the head is not included in the nominal length of the screw.
