Hardness standard pieces are test pieces used for maintenance and management of hardness testing machines. Industrial standards such as JIS and ISO require users of hardness testing machines to regularly inspect the testing machine (indirect verification/daily inspection) using hardness reference pieces. Therefore, for hardness tester users, the reference piece can be said to be a ``necessary item'' to check whether the hardness tester is working properly.
◼︎Handling instructions
- When unpacking, hold the sides of the reference piece without touching the front and back sides. (It's a good idea to wear cloth gloves, etc.)
- Spray alcohol onto a soft cloth to wipe off the rust-preventing oil on the surface. (Please note that copper or brass reference pieces are not coated with anti-rust oil.)
- After wiping, make sure there is no rust, scratches, or dirt.
・After use, please store it in the special case that was included at the time of purchase.
◼︎Notes
・Please measure at least 5 points according to JIS and ISO standards.
・Please measure with at least two indentations apart.
・Please do not use products that have been in use for more than 5 years. (Warranty period is 3 years) (Minor rust, scratches, or dirt on the front and back surfaces will affect the measured values.)
-Re-polishing, using the back side, and storing in humid environments are strictly prohibited.
