■Types of explosion-proof structures
Explosion-proof construction refers to a structure that prevents electrical equipment from igniting, igniting, or exploding, even if it is used in a hazardous atmosphere such as flammable gas or vapor. There are three types of explosion-proof construction for motors: pressure-resistant explosion-proof construction, internal pressure explosion-proof construction, and increased safety explosion-proof construction. "Increased safety explosion-proof motor" is the increased safety explosion-proof construction. Increased safety explosion-proof construction refers to a structure that has a particularly increased level of safety against temperature rises in order to prevent sparks, arcs, or overheating from occurring in parts that should not occur when electrical equipment is operating normally. .
■Usage environment
Ignition degree classification of target gas...G3 (ignition point exceeds 200℃). The surrounding atmosphere in which explosion-proof equipment can be used is regulated depending on its structure. The increased safety explosion-proof structure does not generate sparks or arcs, so it can be used with G3, G2, and G1 explosive gases, regardless of the explosion class.
■Usage location: Indoor type 2 location
Dangerous areas are classified into three levels, from type 0 to type 2, depending on the time and frequency in which a hazardous atmosphere exists. Increased safety explosion-proof motors can only be used indoors in Class 2 locations. Do not use in locations where there is a constant risk of explosion or outdoors.
Type 2 refers to ``places where there are no explosive gases under normal conditions, but where there is a risk of creating a hazardous atmosphere due to abnormal conditions such as equipment failure or operational errors.'' Ambient temperature range...-10℃ to +40℃
■About overload protection device
Increased safety explosion-proof motors are designed to be highly safe against temperature rises that can cause fires and explosions, but if they are used under overload or are restrained for longer than the allowable restraint time, they can overheat and cause an accident. There is a risk of connection.
