No power required. FBG optical fiber sensor with excellent lightning resistance, electromagnetic noise resistance, non-flammability, and explosion-proof properties.
The os3100 is a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) spot welded or adhesive type optical strain gauge. For welding installation (os3110), it is ready to use after just a few minutes of installation. When installed with adhesive (OS3120), it hardens and can be used in 24 hours at normal temperature, just like electric foil strain gauges. Compared to electric foil strain gauges, they have the same sensitivity and accuracy but are 100 times more durable. This allows use in harsh environments and offers many of the benefits of fiber optic sensors.
