What is translucent colored silicone rubber?Most conventional colored silicone rubbers were not transparent, but we have created translucent colored silicone rubber. It maintains the same characteristics as silicone rubber, and is produced in Japan, making it highly hygienic (*), so it can be used in all fields, including food-related fields. *Compliant with the Food Sanitation Act (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Notification No. 85 of 1985 (revised: Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Notification No. 595 of 2012))
characteristics
■Heat resistance
If the temperature exceeds 100℃ for natural rubber and 150℃ for general synthetic rubber, it will quickly deteriorate and become unusable. Silicone rubber's properties hardly change even at 150℃.
■Cold resistance
The brittle point of general organic rubber is -20℃ to -30℃, while that of silicone rubber is -60℃ to -70℃. Therefore, it can be used in environments between -40℃ and -50℃.
■Weather resistance
It has superior stability against oxygen, ozone, and ultraviolet rays compared to general organic rubber. Even if it is exposed to UV rays or wind and rain for a long time, its properties will hardly change.
■Chemical stability
Excellent chemical resistance. It is virtually unaffected by polar organic compounds such as aniline and alcohol, dilute acids, and dilute alkalis, and its volume increases by only 10 to 15% due to expansion. *Some chemicals may have a significant effect. Please conduct tests and confirm before use.
■Electrical properties It has excellent electrical insulation properties and is stable over a wide temperature and frequency range, making it ideal as an insulating material.
■Flame retardant
Flame-retardant grades do not burn easily even when brought close to flame. Furthermore, even if it ignites, the product does not contain organic halogen compounds, so there is almost no smoke or toxic gas.
■Water resistance
Even if soaked in water for a long time, the water absorption amount is about 1%. It does not affect strength or properties. Also, under normal pressure, it hardly deteriorates even if it comes into contact with steam.
■Transparency/colorability
Coloring is performed without sacrificing the original transparency of silicone, resulting in a brightly colored finish.
■Non-adhesive/non-corrosive
It is chemically inert and has excellent mold release properties, so it does not corrode other substances. It can also be used for copying machine fuser rolls, printing rolls, etc.
■High strength
The tear strength of silicone rubber is generally 10 to 15 kN/m, but by studying the formulation, we have achieved a strength that is 3 to 4 times higher than normal.
