About This Product

Vermeer electric horizontal grinder. The lineup includes two models: the 373kW (507PS) HG4000EⅡ and the 568kW (772PS) HG6000EⅡ. Because it is electric, it produces low noise and has a track record of obtaining permits even in difficult locations. The design incorporates many years of experience with engine-type machines, and it is used in the production of raw materials such as biomass fuel, compost, and bedding.

■Secret of high productivity Vermeer's unique VFD method

HG4000EⅡ/HG6000EⅡ uses Vermeer's unique VFD system, which allows it to continue crushing without tripping even when subjected to impact loads. In addition, since the crushing capacity is controlled to the maximum even under high loads, it is possible to process large quantities of any material. The speed of the feeding table and rollers can also be easily changed, allowing you to make the optimal settings depending on the material to be crushed and the desired chip quality.

■Energy saving and low running costs

The crushing motor, hydraulic pump motor, and cooling fan motor are all powered by electric motors, so running costs can be reduced compared to engine-powered machines. In terms of maintainability, compared to engine-type machines, much of the daily inspection of the motor is maintenance-free, and the operating time of the crusher can be extended. The crushing chamber has also been designed based on the experience gained over many years with engine-type machines, and like engine-type machines, all parts that wear out can be replaced with bolt-on methods.

■We also propose low-noise layouts that can be installed anywhere.

Even when the electric motor is running at its rated speed, it boasts low noise levels that allow you to have a conversation next to the crusher. For this reason, we have a track record of obtaining permits even in areas near urban areas that are difficult to obtain. Two types of motors are available, one for 50Hz and one for 60Hz, allowing you to select the specifications that suit your installation location. We also make proposals that utilize existing layouts, such as replacing existing machines. (*The crushing noise is the same level as the engine type.)
