About This Product

■One unit can add damping to the movement of 3 axes.

Damping has a significant influence on the dynamic behavior of elastically supported systems. The GERB VISCO® damper utilizes the dissipative properties of highly viscous fluids and can simultaneously add damping to motion in 3 axes and 6 degrees of freedom with a single device. This converts shock vibrations and mechanical vibrations into heat, suppressing resonance phenomena. For example, when considering the seismic response of an elastically supported system, by adding damping using our viscous dampers, you can optimize the system and reduce new installation/measure costs. GERB VISCO® dampers are used in almost all of our solutions, for example as anti-vibration supports in forging hammers and presses, in turbines, pumps and blowers, in seismic protection for buildings and structures, and in tuned mass dampers. To protect these pipes and equipment, GERB VISCO® dampers are installed in power plants and facilities around the world.

■GERB offers piping dampers with the following features.
