In November 2021, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Industrial Gas Detection and Alarm Industry Association established guidelines for selecting measuring instruments. Air tends to stagnate in closed spaces such as offices and restaurants, so there is a potential for mass infection. The guidelines stipulate that carbon dioxide concentration measuring devices must meet the following requirements: ``The detection principle uses an optical method'' and ``the measuring device has a correction function.'' is required.
