About This Product

■What is ferrite sintered magnet?

Ferrite magnets are made from inexpensive iron oxide and strontium carbonate or barium carbonate as their main raw materials, so their cost (economical efficiency) far exceeds that of other magnetic materials. Furthermore, in terms of magnetic properties, it has a large coercive force (Hcj), making it the most widely used for all kinds of applications. However, since it is a ceramic material, it is prone to cracking and chipping, so care must be taken when handling it. In addition, the temperature coefficient of magnetic flux is -0.18%/℃, which is much higher than that of alnico magnets and samarium cobalt magnets, so consideration must be given to temperature.

■What is a permanent magnet?

A magnet that, once magnetized, retains its magnetic properties for a long period of time without being supplied with an external magnetic field or electric current. Nowadays, it is used in a variety of products as a functional material that supports cutting-edge industries. Permanent magnets have a long history of industrial use, dating back more than 100 years. Magnets with various characteristics have been developed to suit different uses, and have been selected according to the purpose of use in each era. Magnets that are resistant to heat, magnets that are resistant to rust, and magnets that are small but have strong magnetic force. Because of their unique characteristics, magnets are functional materials that have infinite possibilities depending on how they are used. Here, we will introduce the main characteristics of permanent magnets. Please use your ideas to discover new uses and charms of magnets. It is well known that cutting-edge magnetic technology is used in hybrid cars and electric cars. On the other hand, magnets are also used for a variety of purposes in familiar household appliances. Although it is a material that is hard to see, it plays a very important role that is indispensable for manufacturing modern products. Although important, it is not generally well known. This may be the reality of magnets.

■There are several conditions for a good magnet.

(1) A strong magnetic field can be created in the external space with small dimensions and volume = high maximum energy product (2) Stable against heat, moisture, and external demagnetization = high heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and coercive force (3) Price per magnetic energy generated by the magnet, that is, good cost performance = low cost and high performance *Other model numbers are available. *The above table shows typical characteristics. We can also suggest other grades depending on your needs, so please feel free to contact us.
