DC-BUS technology is expected to be applied to the automotive field, battery control, solar panel power management, robots, home appliances, control equipment, industrial equipment, etc., and practical application has begun in Japan, especially in Europe and America. .

■What is YAMAR's DC-BUS communication technology?DC-BUS is the same technology as PLC (PowerLine Communication), and is a technology that allows communication control between various devices using DC power lines instead of AC power lines. In Japan, AC power line communication using PLC has already been put into practical use, but high-speed communication technology using DC power line communication has had many difficult problems, and its development and practical application have been delayed.

Unlike AC power lines used in general households, DC power lines contain extremely high levels of noise, and there are many major factors that impede good communication. Semiconductor development has already been successful, and application to aircraft, special vehicles, robots, industrial equipment, etc. has begun.

Internationally, we are participating in the EU-6FP SPARC project organized by Daimler AG (Germany), and the front and back lamps of the following vehicles are controlled by DC-BUS communication.

Acted as a EU-7FP SCARLETT project partner for the second generation IMA organized by Thales, Airbus, Dassault, Saab,,, etc. Enables communication over noisy DC power lines in automobiles, aircraft, industrial equipment, and other fields. DC-BUS communication reduces expensive wiring materials, reduces weight, cost, and space, and increases reliability. The weight and cost of wiring materials account for the second largest cost after the engine.
