About This Product

■Dramatically improved crushing performance

A highly efficient annular gap bead mill equipped with a new mechanism to efficiently flow beads.

■Bead mill grinding principle

Specified spherical beads are placed in the grinding chamber, and the medium and powder (slurry) are passed through them while they are rotating. When the beads hit the powder in the slurry, the impact force and shear stress pulverize the powder into smaller pieces. Operation is continued until the desired pulverized particle size (submicron to nanometer) is achieved by repeatedly circulating the slurry (circulation operation) and taking it out every time (pass method). Features

■Suitable for high viscosity slurry

It can also process high viscosity slurries of 30 to 60 Pa・S that cannot be processed with conventional mills. The slurry flow path is short and the rotor/stator has a smooth structure, making it possible to reduce viscous resistance from high viscosity slurry.

■Suitable for high concentration slurry

We specialize in dispersing/pulverizing highly concentrated slurries, and can significantly shorten processing time. It is characterized by high production capacity because it takes a short time to reach the final particle size.

■Large cooling capacity

Since the outer periphery and rotor are directly cooled, the large heat slowing effect makes it possible to handle heat-sensitive materials.

■Easy disassembly and cleaning

The rotor screen in the grinding chamber can be easily disassembled and cleaned by removing one bolt.

■Abrasion prevention measures

If it is made of SUS, it is treated with special plating to resist wear. Made of ceramic for even greater wear resistance. It is possible to process slurries that are sensitive to contamination or that are sensitive to color.

■Beads input/discharge

Beads can be loaded by falling under their own weight, and almost the entire amount of beads can be discharged. There is no need for troublesome work during loading and unloading. [To discharge beads, just pull out the plug]

■Purpose Grinding/dispersion application example

Purpose of bead mill (wet pulverizer/disperser)

■Micron size → Nano size

Slurry is created by mixing micron-sized powder, which is the limit of dry grinding, with a medium such as water, oil, alcohol, or solvent. By processing the slurry with an OB mill, it becomes possible to grind and disperse it down to nano-size.
