Since thermoplastic resin can be mass -produced inexpensive, it is used for all products such as home appliances, automotive parts, and household goods, and is indispensable in our lives. There are methods such as injection molding, extruding molding, and blow molding as a method of processing thermoplastic resin, but in any molding method, the liquidity of the molten resin is an important indicator. Meltflate is widely used as an indicator of molten resin fluid, and is standardized in ISO, JIS, ASTM, and ASTM has slightly different terms and regulations for ISO and JIS, but the measurement principle is the same. Generally, the larger the meltflow rate, the better the fluidity, and the smaller it is, the worse the liquidity. In addition, when the same type of resin is measured, the larger the value, the higher the molecular weight and the higher the molecular weight. However, since the measurement is basically almost static, the shearing speed generated in the resin under measured is very small in terms of the shear speed at the time of injection molding, etc., and may not be correlated with the actual processing. Therefore, it is mainly used in quality control of materials.
