About This Product

■Impact tester for plastics, synthetic materials, light alloys, and structural materials

The next generation of Instron Dynatup drop weight impact testers is the Instron 9400 Series. A falling weight impact tester determines the energy required to damage a specimen or component when a specified weight is dropped from a specified height at a specified impact energy and velocity. Use for purpose. The Instron® 9400 Series Drop Weight Impact Tester complies with all major impact testing standards ranging from 0.3J to 1,800J.

■Punching test method and other impact test methods

Puncture resistance testing, CAI testing (compression after impact), tensile impact testing, three-point bending testing, and wedge peel impact testing are the most common falling weight impact testing methods. These tests determine the polymer's toughness, load-deflection curve, and total energy absorption of an impact event. The main ISO and ASTM standards for impact testing of plastics are ASTM D3763 for Multiaxial Impact Testing, ISO 6603 for Puncture Resistance Test Method, ASTM D7136 for CAI Test Method, ISO 11343 for Wedge Peel Impact Test Method, and Tensile Impact Test Method. ISO 8256.

■More simple

Efficient falling weight impact test. ・Start testing more quickly Intuitive Bluehill® Impact software and a touchscreen dashboard make everyday tasks easier. Users are guided through the entire testing process with detailed instructions to ensure easy, error-free testing with good reproducibility. ・Simple flexibility A wide range of easily replaceable supports, weights, fixtures, and accessories are available to perform puncture resistance, tensile impact, and wedge peel impact tests, along with compression and component testing. This expands the range of uses for impact testing machines. ・Speed up collaboration Transition from task to task: Easily share test methods and test results internally and with customers through Bluehill Impact's file management system.
