About This Product

It enables dose measurement of small radiation fields without any disturbance caused by the detector. EXRADIN W2 is made of water-equivalent plastic material, and its tiny detector is φ1mm in size. The scintillation light from W2 is detected by the attached MAX-SD and the dose value is derived. It is almost unaffected by temperature and pressure, and since the detector is made of water-equivalent material, it does not disturb the measurement field. It is also possible to output measured values ​​in analog form from MAX-SD, and it can also be applied to scanning measurements. Ultra-small detector equivalent to water

■Excellent measurement accuracy in small radiation fields

Unlike other detectors, the EXRADIN W2 scintillator is constructed from a water-equivalent material and therefore does not have any effects within the beam due to the detector itself. This enables more accurate dosimetry in small radiation fields.

■High resolution

This system features a 1mm x 1mm scintillation fiber and provides high resolution measurements, such as for small field characterization.

■Built-in correction function

6. By using MAX SD, a unit that detects scintillation light and processes signals, scanning and point doses can be measured. You can also access MAX SD from your PC via the web interface.

■Excellent features

AAPM/IAEA 483 states that scintillators are the only detectors with kQ1.000. Therefore, W2 is the perfect detector for measurements in stereotactic radiotherapy. Water-equivalent material, waterproof construction, built-in correction, scanning and point dosimetry capabilities, and two types of user-replaceable fibers (1 x 1 mm, 1 x 3 mm) available. Furthermore, it is characterized by low dose rate dependence, temperature dependence, and energy dependence. By outputting analog signals corrected for Cerenkov effects, it is possible to connect to a water phantom system for scanning measurements.
