About This Product
The os3100 is a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) spot welded or adhesive type optical strain gauge. Welded installation (OS3110) takes just a few minutes and is ready for use.
Compared to electric foil strain gauges, they have the same sensitivity and accuracy but are 100 times more durable. This allows use in harsh environments and offers many of the advantages of fiber optic sensors.
