■Plate heat exchanger made by top supplier Alfa Laval

The plate determines the quality of a plate heat exchanger. The requirements for a good plate depend on high heat transfer and how well the pressure of the fluid caused by friction on the plate surface can be suppressed. However, plates with good heat transfer properties generally have a large pressure loss, and plates with low pressure loss generally have poor heat transfer performance. Alfa Laval's plates utilize a variety of unique technologies that differ from those of other companies' products, and are able to overcome these contradictory issues with an ideal balance. Features of plate heat exchanger

■High thermal conductivity

Complete countercurrent flow and unique corrugated plates enable efficient heat exchange even with a temperature difference as small as 1°C.

■Easy maintenance

It can be easily inspected and cleaned by simply removing the tightening bolts.

■Flexibility

The amount of heat exchanged can be changed by increasing or decreasing the number of plates.

■Excellent economy

The compact design allows for material savings and provides excellent economy with high heat exchange rates.

■Lightweight and compact

Compared to shell-and-tube heat exchangers, it is lightweight and compact with approximately 1/3 the mass and 1/4 to 1/10 the internal volume.

■Quick response

The internal fluid retention rate is extremely small, so it responds quickly to operating conditions.
