Bika model PGS21/PGS23
A single pressure gauge that outputs a signal in the event of an abnormality using a contact (switch), allowing you to check pressure on-site.
■Difference between 821 (magnetic snap switch) and 831 (inductive proximity switch)
For this model, you can choose from the following two types of contact (switch) types. The differences between each are listed below.
・821 (Magnetic snap switch)
When the pressure value approaches the set value of the switch, the pressure pointer is held in place by the internal magnet to prevent chattering. However, on the other hand, the hysteresis is approximately 2 to 5% (relative to the pressure range), which is comparatively large. Also, because the internal magnets hold it in place, it is relatively resistant to vibration and operates stably. Also, since it is a physical contact, it does not have a long lifespan (although it varies depending on the surrounding conditions), and if it is used more than 100,000 times, there is a risk of failure, so we recommend replacing it.
The set value can be changed by the customer, but please set it between 25 and 75% of the pressure range. Also, if there are two or more contacts, separate the set values by at least 20% of the full range. The contact material is silver nickel/gold plating. Although the instantaneous permissible load is 250V/1A, we recommend using the product at a lower current than this and installing a protection circuit against inrush current.
・831 (Inductive proximity switch)
Since it is an inductive proximity switch, there is no physical contact and it has a long service life. However, if strong vibrations occur nearby, it may malfunction, and if there is a noise source nearby, the noise may cause malfunction, so please do not select this product.
The set value can be set by the customer, but please set it between 10 and 90% of the pressure range. Also, multiple contacts cannot be set to the same pressure value (this may cause malfunction). If you select 3 contacts, please separate the 1st and 3rd contacts by at least 30°.
