Simply insert the theta probe (sensor) into the soil and easily measure the volumetric moisture content of the soil in a few seconds. The sensor measures by measuring changes in dielectric constant and is waterproof so it can be buried directly in the soil. It can measure volumetric moisture content from 5 to 55% with an accuracy of 5%, and with calibration it can measure with an accuracy of ±1%.
The sensor comes with a 2m cable, and the display can be used by switching between 3 measurement modes: organic, inorganic, and voltage, and up to 252 points can be stored in the internal memory! (Up to 84 points in a single mode) You can also convert into inorganic and organic soil values using the built-in software.
