About This Product

■The TDOT system and Riegl laser unit were integrated to create a high-performance laser scanning system.

We have integrated our proud drone-mounted laser scanner system "TDOT" with RIEGL's "miniVUX-3UAV," which has a maximum of 300,000 points per second and 100 lines. The most important feature of the TDOT series is the high-performance GNSS/INS combined navigation system, which enables a seamless process between flight and point cloud data output specialized for surveying. The laser scanner system "TDOT 7 NIR" has been released, equipped with long-awaited functions such as high-precision real-time positioning analysis using LTE wireless communication and addition of temperature information to point cloud data using visible and thermographic cameras. *Laser pulse repetition rate (PRR) of 100kHz, 200kHz, and 300kHz can be selected. The measurement rate and FOV will vary depending on the PRR.

■ Built-in high-performance GNSS/INS composite navigation system that measures the drone's position, attitude, and direction with high precision and improves the data output rate to achieve higher surveying performance.

Laser surveying requires calculating tens of thousands of times per second how long it takes the laser light to return from the target. At that time, the position to be irradiated with the laser beam is measured using GNSS, but this can only be done a few dozen times per second, resulting in a large error in the position of the target. It also causes a positional shift equivalent to the measurement error of the laser beam irradiation angle multiplied by the distance to the target object. Therefore, the farther away the object is, the less accurate the coordinates of the object can be determined, even if the error in the laser beam irradiation angle is small. Therefore, we use an accelerometer to capture the drone's movement, and a gyro sensor to detect the drone's ever-changing attitude. The combination of these IMUs (Inertial Measurement Units) and GNSS is called a GNSS/INS composite navigation (inertial navigation) system, and by leveraging the strengths of each, a highly accurate surveying system is completed. The TODT series INS has the specifications to achieve highly accurate measurements of several tens of millimeters while irradiating laser light tens of thousands of times per second.
