About This Product

■Providing optimal assembled batteries and battery systems to meet your needs

When batteries are used in devices, most of them are used in the form of assembled batteries or battery systems, rather than single cells. FDK has extensive experience in assembled batteries, custom-designed battery systems, and standard battery systems, and designs and produces batteries with safety and reliability in mind for each application. About assembled batteries

■Basic shape

When using batteries in equipment, the battery model, number of cells, shape, etc. are determined by equipment ratings, space, usage conditions, etc.

■Protective parts

When designing an assembled battery, it is necessary to provide protective parts in consideration of charger abnormalities and external short circuits. FDK recommends that the following parts be built into the assembled battery. Please contact us for details.

■Example of finished assembled battery shape

Assembled batteries can be created in various shapes depending on the purpose. In addition to heat shrink tube, resin or metal cases are also available for the exterior. Please consult us regarding lead wires and terminal shapes.

■Battery delivery example

We have examples of delivery for a variety of applications, including automotive, security, emergency lighting, and home appliances. Please consult with us regarding usage location, environmental temperature, charging/discharging conditions, etc.

■About the battery system

This is a packaged battery equipped with a BMS (Battery Management System) that controls charging and discharging. We bring out the performance of nickel metal hydride batteries and contribute to improving the functionality of our customers' products and reducing development man-hours.

■“Battery Management System”

This is FDK's unique system that includes functions to optimally control charging and discharging, battery diagnostic functions to achieve high reliability, and functions to predict lifespan.

■Charge/discharge control

Prevents overcharging and overdischarging and extends lifespan

■Self-diagnosis function

Achieves high reliability by diagnosing the charging circuit, discharging circuit, and battery (internal resistance and self-discharge rate)

■Development example of custom control function
