■Summary
Oxygen is selectively extracted from the air using an adsorbent. The adsorbent is a crystalline hydrated aluminosilicate containing alkaline earth metals called zeolite, which has many pores and has the property of adsorbing more nitrogen than oxygen. This property is used to generate highly concentrated oxygen gas.

■PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) operation
PSA oxygen generators selectively extract oxygen from the air using adsorbents. The adsorbent is a crystalline hydrated aluminosilicate containing alkaline earth metals called zeolite, which has many pores and has the property of adsorbing more nitrogen than oxygen. Utilizing this property, highly concentrated oxygen gas is generated as follows.
The raw air is taken into the compressor. The compressed air is filtered to remove dust and sent to the adsorption column. The two adsorption cylinders are switched alternately every few tens of seconds, and nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, moisture, etc. are adsorbed from the air sent, and only oxygen gas is sent to the product buffer tank (adsorption process). . Meanwhile, the other adsorption cylinder is depressurized to atmospheric pressure and the adsorbed nitrogen gas is discharged to the atmosphere, and the adsorbent is regenerated (desorption process).
By repeating this process alternately, it is possible to continuously generate highly concentrated oxygen gas.
