About This Product

The business of video production and live streaming of live events in 4K is expanding, and it has become commonplace for homes around the world to enjoy content on 4K TVs with high-speed internet connections. Content providers are required to deliver video at the optimal image quality for each viewing environment. By encoding 4K video at high frame rates (50 or 60Hz) with Monarch EDGE, you can provide the best 4K video experience.

■Encoder “Matrox Monarch EDGE E4” / Decoder “Matrox Monarch EDGE D4”

A multi-channel H.264 encoder/decoder product for broadcast that can process one 12G-SDI video or four 3G-SDI videos simultaneously in a standard 1Gbps Ethernet environment. The four 3G-SDI encoders provide the flexibility to deliver each using different streaming protocols, the ability to record 1,080i and 4K video, and the compact half-rack (1U) size with low power consumption. Optimized H.264 codec provides high quality and low data rate transmission. It can be controlled using WebGUI and a dedicated application (Windows), and we also provide RSET API for software developers.

■Monarch EDGE S1, which supports bidirectional simultaneous encoding and decoding, is now available

All-in-one model that supports bidirectional simultaneous encoding and decoding at resolutions up to 1,080P60Hz. Local distribution is possible using three protocols: SRT, RTSP, and MPEG-2 TS. High performance yet simple operation. Convenient remote distribution using simultaneous encoding and decoding functions. It is possible to decode the return channel while encoding on one channel. While transmitting on-site camera footage to the studio, it is also possible to receive and decode programs produced in the studio at the same time. By sharing footage between the site and the studio, smooth and natural communication can be achieved.
