About This Product

■Summary The tilt switch is a level switch that is sturdy and unaffected by fouling. It can be used to detect the upper limit of powder, granule, and lump storage silos, hoppers, chutes, etc. ■Advantages It is not affected by adhesion or the electrical characteristics of the measured object. It is effective in cases where capacitance methods cannot detect it due to its low dielectric constant. It is also suitable for detecting lumps. Capacitive or paddle-type devices may be damaged when detecting lumps, but the tilt switch, which is housed in a durable cast metal case, has a structure that is resistant to shocks, so there is no need to worry. It is possible to detect lumps with a specific gravity of 1.0 or more and a particle size of 30mm or more. ■Principle The tilt switch detector has a built-in tilt switch. When the detector is not in contact with the object to be measured, the contact between A and B is closed (NC state) via the iron ball. When the detector section is tilted due to accumulation of objects to be measured, the iron ball inside the tilt switch will roll and the contact between A and B will be open (NO state). In principle, it is not affected by floating dust or deposits. ■Features ・Compact structure and sturdy ・Wear-resistant upper limit switch ・The casing material is ductile cast iron. Since the sensor is detected by tilting, please install it in a location with sufficient space so that it will not hit a wall or the like even if it is tilted. ■Cable fixing instructions The lowest limit for securing the hanging chain and cable is approximately 1m from the tip of the detector. At this time, be sure to bend the cable slightly and do not let the cable become taut. ■Detector mounting position If the detector is installed near the side wall of the tank, it may interfere with the side wall during detection and may not operate properly.
