■Description

The PA89 is an ultra-high voltage MOSFET operational amplifier capable of output currents up to 75mA. The output voltage can swing over 1,000V p-p. The safe operating area (SOA) has no second breakdown limitations and can accommodate any type of load by selecting the appropriate current limiting resistor. High accuracy is achieved with a high cascode input circuit configuration and 120dB open-loop gain. All internal biasing is referenced to a bootstrapped Zener-MOSFET current source, giving the PA89 a wide supply range and excellent power-down characteristics. The MOSFET output stage is biased for class A/B linear operation. External correction function allows flexible response. PA89's hermetic seal is 100% tested to the requirements of MIL-STD-883 Method 1014. This hybrid integrated circuit uses a beryllium (BeO) substrate, thick-film resistors, ceramic capacitors, and semiconductor chips to achieve improved reliability, smaller size, and higher performance. Ultrasonically bonded aluminum wire provides reliable interconnects at all operating temperatures. *The MO-127's high voltage, Power Dip™ package is hermetically sealed and electrically isolated. Use of compressible thermal washers will void the product warranty.

■Notes

PA89 consists of MOSFET transistors. Care must be taken when handling ESD. The internal substrate contains beryllium (BeO). Please do not open the seal. If accidentally damaged, do not crush, machine or process at temperatures above 850°C to avoid generating toxic gases.
