■Description

PA198 is a 450V high power operational amplifier. This high voltage amplifier uses a MOSFET output stage and has a power bandwidth up to 2MHz. When operating within the safe operating area, the PA198 has a maximum continuous current of 200mA. The output voltage can swing up to ±215V with dual supplies and up to +440V with a single supply. The safe operating area (SOA) has no secondary breakdown limitations and can accommodate any load by selecting the appropriate current limiting resistor. 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 High accuracy is achieved by the cascade input circuit configuration. All internal biases are referenced to the bootstrapped Zener MOSFET current source. As a result, the PA198 offers unprecedented power range and superior power-off characteristics. The MOSFET output stage is biased for linear operation. External correction function allows flexible response. Hybrid integrated circuits utilize thick film (cermet) resistors, ceramic capacitors, and silicon-based semiconductors to maximize reliability, minimize size, and achieve the best performance. Ultrasonically bonded aluminum wire provides reliable interconnectivity over all operating temperature ranges. The nine internal circuits of the Power SIP (System in Package) are electrically isolated from the heat tub.

■Caution

PA198 uses MOSFET. Please take measures against static electricity. The internal substrate contains beryllium oxide (BeO). Please do not open the seal. If you solve it incorrectly, do not crush it, machine it, or expose it to temperatures above 850°C to avoid producing toxic gases.
