About This Product

■Accurately detects lightning strikes on target wind turbines and accurately records time and polarity This is a lightning strike detection counter for wind turbines that complies with the ministerial ordinance establishing technical standards for wind power generation equipment. Using three lightning current detectors, it detects the time and polarity of lightning striking an object, and counts the number of lightning strikes. Lightning strike time and polarity are recorded on microSD and can be imported to a PC and viewed. ■Necessity of lightning strike detection counter for wind turbines A ministerial ordinance establishing technical standards for wind power generation equipment (Ministry of International Trade and Industry Ordinance No. 53 of 1997) was enacted, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry issued an interpretation of the technical standards for wind power generation equipment (Revised 20170323 Bureau of Commerce No. 3). It was done. [Ensuring the safe condition of wind turbines] In Article 7, as ``measures to protect wind turbines from lightning strikes'' stipulated in Article 5, Paragraph 3 of the ministerial ordinance, ``in the event of a lightning strike, the wind turbines must be immediately removed.'' An emergency stop device, etc. shall be installed so that the equipment can be stopped. (A region where the electric charge of a lightning strike on a wind turbine is assumed to be 600 coulombs or more). ■Malfunction prevention By using multiple detection sensors, it is possible to distinguish between lightning strikes on the object and lightning strikes in the surrounding area, and prevent malfunctions. ■Equipped with GPS clock Equipped with a GPS clock to accurately record lightning strike times. ■Alarm contact output The alarm contact output can be used as an emergency stop signal for wind turbines. ■Maintenance Replace the battery of the lightning current detection device once a year.
