■World's first. ball screw mechanism
The world's first ball screw mechanism is used in the chuck tightening part. As a long seller chuck, we have established a wide variety of types and tooling systems, and it is a tool that can meet all machining conditions and purposes.
■Gripping force is 3 to 5 times greater than before.
The ball screw mechanism chucks the cutting tool by pulling it in. This is because the force applied to the ball part of the ball screw mechanism is applied to all angles, and SHOWA's unique spring collet system ensures that the gripping force is tightened from the mouth to the entire spring collet. As a result, we have achieved a gripping force that is 3 to 5 times that of conventional milling chucks.
■High accuracy is achieved with our unique spring collet system.
The thrust ball mechanism prevents torsional force from being transmitted to the spring collet during tightening, so the accuracy of the collet is equivalent to that of the hard chuck. At SHOWA, we have utilized our many years of experience and know-how to perform our own heat treatment to produce highly accurate and durable spring collets.

The hard chuck has an unparalleled thick wall structure for the gripping part in order to maintain strong chucking ability and excellent accuracy even under all harsh processing conditions.
■Outstanding operability
SHOWA's unique ball screw mechanism is built-in, so the handle can be operated easily, and tools can be easily attached and detached by simply turning the nut half a turn. (Built-in unique brake mechanism)
■The mysterious power of the ball
Balls (steel balls) are used as rolling elements to minimize friction when rotating the nut, making handle operation easier. Taking advantage of the ball screw's excellent transmission efficiency, the ball bearing rings of the main body and nut are subjected to ultra-precision polishing to double the smooth movement of the balls, creating a ball screw mechanism with amazing rigidity and no chatter.
