About This Product

■Summary

It consists of a cubic-shaped main body in which a large number of rows of holes are perpendicularly intersecting each other in the monoblock of Talkabait, and a liquid chamber and a holding plate surrounding it. The two fluids pass through the body at right angles to each other, and heat exchange takes place between them. For the liquid chamber, it is common to use talkerbait on the process side and metal on the service side, but it is also possible to use various rubber linings, PTFE linings, and talkerbait on both sides to create a process-to-process chamber.

■Features

The cubic heat exchanger has a robust structure for a graphite product because the load on the main block is all compressive force and it is surrounded by steel plates. It is extremely compact, requiring only a small installation floor space. Since the pore size is small, it is not suitable for fluids with a high content of crystals and solids, but the structure is quite simple and it is relatively easy to disassemble and clean.

■Main block for cubic heat exchanger

All main blocks are manufactured from monoblocks (one-piece blocks), so there is no bonding surface. Compared to laminated blocks, it is very advantageous in terms of equipment life and corrosion resistance. The hole diameter is φ9mm on both the process side and the service side.

■Horizontal cubic heat exchanger

Since it is easy to cut the path on both the process side and the service side, the flow velocity inside the hole can be increased, which has the advantage of widening the range of equipment design. Additionally, the liquid chamber on the service side can be used as a talkerbait, allowing heat exchange between processes.

■Vertical cubic heat exchanger

Because the process fluid flows from top to bottom, there are no areas where liquid pools can form due to the structure. For this reason, it has been widely used as a capacitor in processes where liquid pools are averse, such as in the manufacturing process of pharmaceutical intermediates. *Other model numbers are available.
