About This Product
Root Stopper Ver.2 is a high-performance root-prevention sheet that controls the direction of rhizome growth and is made by adding a plant root repellent to long-fiber polyester nonwoven fabric. Ideal for preventing damage to pavements and structures due to intrusion of plant roots, preventing clogging of pipes, and protecting waterproof layers for rooftop greening.
■Repellent effect
The repellent we use works by inhibiting the growth direction of the rhizomes and forcing them to point in a different direction. Therefore, rhizomes will not invade the structures covered by Root Stopper Ver.2, effectively preventing damage to the structures. Also, since it is not a herbicide, it does not contain any ingredients that are harmful to plants, so there is no need to worry about inhibiting their growth.
■Sustainability of effect
It is not a drug that exerts a repellent effect through sustained release (volatilization/elution) like conventional drugs, but it is insoluble in water, has no volatility, and does not elute, so its effect lasts for a long time.
■Safety
Since there is no elution of components, it does not contaminate soil, groundwater, agricultural water, etc., and can be used safely in any location.
