■The principle of Bactester is based on the Japanese Pharmacopoeia's "Rapid method for measuring the number of bacteria using fluorescent staining"
Bactester's special reagent A for living bacteria and reagent B for dead bacteria are added to a small amount of sample to fluorescently stain the bacterial cells, and then filtered with a membrane filter (pretreatment up to this point). The Bactester uses a CMOS sensor to capture light emitting points of different wavelengths on the filter, and measures the number of bacteria in about 5 minutes. Unlike the culture method, the principle is similar to the microscopic method, which directly counts the number of bacteria.
