About This Product

■What is low-reflection alumite?

[Low-reflection alumite] is a black alumite that has been independently developed by our company and achieves low reflectance in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared regions. The product has a matte black appearance, and a highly durable coloring material is sealed in an alumite film using special technology. As a result, anodized aluminum has not only low reflection performance but also corrosion resistance, hardness, and heat resistance.

■Features of low-reflection alumite

If paint or plating is touched or rubbed, the surface structure of the film is easily destroyed, which may generate dust or shine, but our low-reflection alumite is a surface treatment that oxidizes the aluminum base material to form a strong film, so the film does not fall off and is resistant to friction. It has excellent dimensional accuracy and coverage (uniformity and workability on complex shapes), and because it is inorganic colored, it has excellent durability against heat and ultraviolet rays. ■Ultraviolet-visible near-infrared region

Shows total reflectance (visible to near-infrared) data for low-reflection alumite. The three types currently under development have even lower reflectance (higher absorption) than the mass-produced TAFTRSBK.

■Mid-infrared to far-infrared region

The total reflectance in the long wavelength range (near-infrared to far-infrared) of the mass-produced low-reflection alumite TAF TR SBK and three developed products is shown. Other performance

・350℃×10 hours → No fading or cracking ・140℃×2000 hours → No fading or cracking

■UV resistant

Xenon arc 96 hours → No fading *Ultraviolet exposure equipment parts more than 2 years old

■Outgassing resistance due to vacuum

No harmful gas generation *Proven track record in space probes, etc.
