About This Product

■Summary

HR1001B is a version of HR1001 with enhanced noise protection and is pin and BOM compatible with HR1001. The HR1001B is an enhanced LLC controller that offers new Adaptive Dead Time Adjustment (ADTA) and Resonance Off Protection (CMP) features. Adaptive dead time adjustment automatically inserts dead time between two complementary gate outputs. This is ensured by keeping the output off while sensing the dV/dt current of the half-bridge switching node. ADTA is characterized by ease of design, low EMI, and high efficiency. The HR1001B incorporates anti-resonance out-of-resonance protection to prevent potentially destructive off-resonance switching in the event of an output short circuit or severe overload. This feature protects the MOSFET during abnormal conditions and makes the converter robust. The HR1001B includes a programmable oscillator that sets both maximum and minimum switching frequencies. It starts at its maximum programmed switching frequency and decays until the control loop takes over to prevent excessive inrush current. The HR1001B enters controlled burst mode at light loads to minimize power consumption and enhance output regulation. The HR1001B offers rich protection features such as 2-level OCP with externally latched shutdown, auto-recovery, power recovery/outage, CMP, and OTP, improving the safety of converter designs with minimal external components.
