About This Product

■Summary

The HR1000A is a controller designed specifically for resonant half-bridge topologies. Provides two drive signal channels that output complementary signals at 50% duty cycle. An internally fixed dead time of 350ns between two complementary gate signals ensures zero voltage switching during transients and enables high frequency operation. An integrated bootstrap diode simplifies the external drive circuit for the high-side switch. It can withstand up to 600V and has high dV/dt noise immunity.  Modulating the switching frequency adjusts the topology output voltage. Programmable oscillator allows setting both maximum and minimum switching frequency. The IC starts at its maximum programmed switching frequency and gradually slows down until the control loop takes over to prevent excessive inrush current. The IC can be forced into controlled burst mode operation at light loads to minimize power consumption and enhance output regulation. Protection features such as latched shutdown, automatic recovery, brownout protection, and overtemperature protection increase the safety of converter designs without adding additional circuit complexity. This IC provides 1.5A/2A source/sink capability for both high-side and low-side gate drivers. HR1000A is offered in SO-16 package.
