About This Product

■Summary

MPQ6533 is a gate driver IC designed for automotive DC motor driver applications. This device drives six N-channel power MOSFETs to drive a DC motor or other load. The device integrates a low-dropout (LDO) regulator that generates the gate drive voltage for the low-side MOSFET (LS-FET). The device also includes a charge pump that generates a voltage to drive an external N-channel MOSFET for reverse battery protection. High-side gate drive is generated by a bootstrap capacitor and an internal charge pump, allowing 100% duty-cycle operation. An internal amplifier measures the voltage drop across the LS-FET. This allows you to measure current without using a shunt resistor. Internal safety features include configurable overcurrent protection (OCP), adjustable dead-time control, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown. The MPQ6533 is available in a (5mm x 5mm) package with exposed pad.
