About This Product

■Summary

MP6614 is an H-bridge motor driver designed to drive reversible motors. This device can drive one DC motor, one winding of a stepper motor, or any other load. The H-bridge integrates four N-channel power MOSFETs, and an internal charge pump generates the necessary gate driver voltages. The MP6614 operates over an input supply (VIN) range of 5V to 35V. Provides up to 2A continuous current (IOUT) depending on thermal and PCB layout. The MP6614 provides a pulse width modulation (PWM) input interface that is compatible with industry standard devices. The brake is applied to stop the motor and very low standby circuit current can be achieved when the device is disabled. An internal current sensing circuit provides an output voltage (VISEN) that is proportional to the load current (IOUT). Additionally, cycle-by-cycle current regulation and limiting is provided. These functions do not require low resistance shunt resistors. Internal protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (SCP), undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and overtemperature protection (OTP). The MP6614 requires a minimal number of standard, readily available external components. MP6614 is offered in SOIC-8EP package.
