About This Product

■Summary

MPQ6641-AEC1 is a gate driver IC designed for automotive DC motor driver applications. It can drive four N-channel power MOSFETs to drive DC motors or other loads. The MPQ6641-AEC1 integrates a low-dropout (LDO) regulator that generates the gate drive voltage for the low-side MOSFET (LS-FET). High-side (HS) gate drive is generated by a bootstrap (BST) capacitor (CBST) and an internal charge pump for 100% duty cycle operation. The device also includes a charge pump that generates a voltage to drive an external N-channel MOSFET for reverse battery protection. An internal amplifier measures the voltage drop across the LS-FET or external shunt resistor. Internal safety features include configurable overcurrent protection (OCP), adjustable dead time (DT) control, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown. The MPQ6641-AEC1 is available in a QFN-32 (5mm x 5mm) package with exposed thermal pad and is AEC-Q100 qualified.
