■What is “Thermocoil®”?

Thermocoil® is a heat exchanger unit in which a large number of heat pipes with secondary heat transfer surfaces (fins) are arranged in a staggered pattern and divided into two sections by a partition plate.The heat pipes pass through the partition. Compared to conventional heat exchangers, it is possible to increase the secondary heat transfer area by adding fins on both the supply and exhaust sides, making it more compact and reducing pressure loss. This Thermocoil® unit is normally ducted so that the supply and exhaust flow is counter-current. In the unit, the exhaust side of the heat pipe is heated by high-temperature exhaust gas, and the evaporation of the working fluid creates a steam flow, which moves to the air supply side of the heat pipe, increasing the wall surface temperature and eventually heating the supply air.
