About This Product

The CAREL EVD series is the most versatile solution for managing CAREL and third-party valves for all EEV control requirements. In addition to the basic function of stabilizing the degree of superheat to the required value, this driver series is highly configurable and compatible with a wide variety of refrigerants for any application, from small residential heat pumps to large industrial from evaporators to precise air conditioning units for air conditioning and processing applications.

■EVD Evolution Twin Features

The EVD Evolution Twin is a controller with two bipolar stepper motor drivers that can independently manage two electronic expansion valves. Designed for DIN rail mounting and includes plug-in screw terminals. Each driver controls the degree of superheating of the refrigerant, optimizing the operation of the refrigerant circuit, while ensuring maximum system flexibility and compatibility with various refrigerants and valves. Applicable to refrigeration units (including sub-critical and trans-critical CO2 systems).

■Main functions

・Independent management of two electronic expansion valves ・Superheat control with high pressure, low pressure, and low superheat protection -Special functions such as hot gas bypass, evaporator pressure regulation (EPR), and control of valves downstream of the gas cooler in transcritical CO2 circuits; - Optimization of superheat control of air conditioning units installed on digital scroll compressors; LAN connection to specific CAREL controllers and activation of one or more tuning procedures. ・Assist with startup procedure (only 4 parameter selections, only 3 for CAREL valve control equipment) - Removable graphic LCD, multilingual interface with online help for parameter, SI and unit display ・Copying parameters to the driver by replacing the display -Manage users with password access to different configuration levels -Low power ratiometric pressure sensor with 40-20mA output (can be shared by up to 5 drivers) useful for multiplexed applications ・Advanced alarm management
