■Inner surface flaw inspection device (inner diameter inspection, hole inspection)By separately detecting the directly reflected laser beam and the diffracted light, it is possible to detect a variety of flaws, from minute scratches on the inner surface to cast porosity *1, in a non-destructive and non-contact manner. As an example of its use, it can be applied to evaluate the quality of crosshatch*2 machining on the inner surface of cylinder bores (holes) in automobile engines.

*1 A casting cavity is a cavity that exists inside a die-cast. *2 A processing method in which scratches (cross-shaped striations) are intentionally created on the inner wall of the cylinder in order to store oil in the grooves and maintain an oil film.

■External flaw inspection deviceThe cylindrical workpiece to be inspected is rotated and laser light is irradiated onto it. This is a device that inspects flaws on the outer surface of a cylindrical cylinder by detecting the amount of light that bounces back. As a result, it has been applied to an inspection to measure the "transparency" of a transparent cylindrical workpiece.

■Inner surface flaw inspection device (handy type)This is an internal flaw inspection device that is inspected by holding it in your hand. When you press the switch, the probe automatically extends, and when retracted, it rotates to detect the amount of reflected light and create an image.

■Flat flaw inspection deviceThis is a device that inspects flat surfaces for scratches by waving a laser and capturing the reflected light with a bundle of optical fibers. ``The more scratches there are, the more light there is'' and ``the fewer scratches there are, the less light'' is returned.The condition of the scratches on the flat surface can be determined. *A galvanometer mirror or rotary scan mirror is used for the device that shakes the laser.
