About This Product

NEP-Harmsco is used as a water treatment filter in a wide range of applications, including power plants, research institutes, beer factories, and swimming pools, and provides performance that exceeds world standards. This up-flow type product filters 99.9% of impurities of 0.35μ or larger, and is characterized by extremely low operating costs. It's sturdy, has a long service life, and is incredibly easy to maintain. NEP-Harmsco's upflow method surpasses conventional filters. Please refer to the diagram below for the operating principle of the upflow filter. The fluid enters the filter, passes through the filter media in the cartridge, the center tube, and through the small hole on the surface of the rod that fixes the cartridge. The fluid flows upward, passes through the top seal, hits a dome, and then flows into the standpipe. The top of the standpipe is unique in that it is located above the filter. Additionally, the filter cartridge is sealed at the bottom, and in the model shown here it is secured with a screw-in pipe cap. advantage

■No air is mixed in during operation.

Since the outlet (top of the standpipe) is at the top of the filter, there is no air contamination during operation.

■Exceeds conventional filters

With conventional filters, the outflow port is located below the inflow port, so air stagnation is a problem. The filter media cannot be used in areas where air stagnates, resulting in reduced performance.

■No need to vent

There is no need to vent the accumulated air as it is carried upward along with the air and fluid and exits through the standpipe. (A lid with an air vent can be installed.)

■Excellent filtration performance

100% of the media is utilized at all times, resulting in superior filtration performance.

■No bypass for moving fluid

There is no bypass for fluid during operation since the filter outlet (at the top of the standpipe) is located above the inlet. Demonstrates excellent characteristics even in difficult filtration.

■Electrolytic polishing

All filters are electropolished for added corrosion resistance.

■Highly safe lid

The standard lid is tightened with a wing nut so that it can be opened without the use of tools. Multiple studs provide secure confidentiality. There is no one that is tightened with just one bolt. (wing nuts are standard for HIF-150- FL and HIF-200- FL filters.)
