About This Product

The Sludge Finder 2 is a reliable measuring instrument that accurately measures boundary levels in primary or secondary sludge tanks and SBR systems. Ultrasonic measurements of liquids determine sludge interface levels through proprietary, state-of-the-art digital echo processing technology using proven, state-of-the-art echo processing algorithms. Sludge Finder 2 uses a special transducer, the Viper Transducer. When placed in a liquid, the Viper transducer emits high-frequency ultrasound pulses towards the sludge interface. This pulse reflects from the dense interface and returns to the Viper transducer. The Sludge Finder 2 analyzes the reflected echoes and displays a depth reading and analog output proportional to the height of the interface from the bottom of the sludge tank.

■Features

・Equipped with 2 channels, allowing 2-step level measurement ・High-frequency ultrasonic waves enable long-term high reliability. ・The Viper transducer has a self-cleaning function, so regular inspections are not required. ・SBR (batch activated sludge process) tank monitoring ・Easy setup via drop-down menus on large, easy-to-read display ・One transducer can track two echoes simultaneously and send 4-20mA signals to each interface. Sludge Finder 2 works with one or two transducers. The dedicated sludge Viper transducer can also be combined with Pulsar's series of dB transducers for level measurement for incredible versatility. A major feature is that one unit can monitor two sedimentation tanks/concentration tanks, or one sedimentation tank and level meter at the same time, allowing flexible and economical control with one unit. Sludge Finder 2 also features a microprocessor and multi-function display to display sludge blanket level, echo profile, alarm points, tank depth and multiple tank status.
