About This Product

Measures the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of thermal insulation materials, ceramics, metals, solids, liquids, powders, pastes, gel samples, etc., and calculates the specific heat capacity per unit volume.

■Features

The thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of isotropic insulation materials, resins, ceramics, metals, pastes, liquids, etc. can be measured, and the specific heat capacity per unit volume can be calculated from these measured values. It is widely used for research and development of new materials, application and application development of various materials, product performance evaluation and quality control. In addition, by using an optional measurement module, it is possible to measure anisotropic materials, high thermal conductivity thin plate materials, film/sheet materials, and specific heat measurements.

■Equipment compliant with ISO22007-2

TPS 2500 S and TPS 1500 comply with ISO 22007-2 "Plastics-Determination of thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity-Part 2: Transient plane heat source (hot disc) method".

■Measurement of high thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity

At the same time as thermal conductivity, it is possible to measure thermal diffusivity, which is one of the thermophysical property values, and further calculate specific heat capacity per unit volume.

■Absolute value measurement

・Based on the theory of the strict unsteady surface heat source method, the absolute values ​​of thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity are measured with good reproducibility. - Measurement reproducibility is within 2% for thermal conductivity and within 5% for thermal diffusivity. (When using sensor RTK50 φ13 in TPS 2500 S/TPS 1500 standard isotropic measurement)

■Wide measurement range

By using sensors and measurement modules of various sizes, thermal conductivity can be measured from 0.005W/mK to 500W/mK. (TPS 2500S)

■Wide measurement temperature range

A rich sensor group allows measurements in various temperature ranges.

■A wealth of optional measurement modules

In addition to isotropic bulk materials, there are measurement modules for measuring anisotropic materials, sheet and film materials, thin sheet materials with high thermal conductivity, and specific heat.
