About This Product

■Summary

ULTRANAC Neo is an ultra-high-speed digital framing camera that pursues NAC's unique optical and digital technologies. High-speed phenomena such as electrical discharges, plasmas, shock waves, projectiles, explosions, combustion, sprays, and micromachines can be clearly visualized at up to 200 million frames per second, 1,000 x 860 pixels, and 24 frames recorded. Features

■Capable of shooting at ultra-high speeds of up to 200 million frames per second

Ultra-high-speed shooting of 24 frames (12+12 frames with CCD double shutter function) is possible at a maximum shooting speed of 200 million frames per second. Each frame captured is recorded as 1,000 x 860 pixel digital data.

■Afterimage correction and optical distortion correction are possible using control software.

The camera control software IVV Imprint comes standard with a function to correct afterimages that occur in 24-frame mode and a function to correct optical distortion caused by the internal optical system.

■You can arbitrarily set the shooting interval and exposure time for each frame.

The exposure time of each frame and the shooting interval for each frame can be set independently. For example, when photographing an underwater discharge, it is possible to photograph the discharge phenomenon in 12 frames at 5ns intervals, and to photograph the cavitation phenomenon that occurs in the remaining 12 frames at 1μs intervals.

■About ULTRANAC ULTRANAC internal structure

ULTRANAC consists of a tunnel beam splitter, a specially designed image intensifier (I.I.), and a high-definition CCD camera.

■Photography/imaging

The image incident from the photographing lens is divided and projected by a tunnel beam splitter (*1) and simultaneously focused on 12 segment areas of the I.I. photocathode. By controlling the gate timing of each segment area of the I.I., 12 consecutive frames of images captured at different timings are formed on the I.I. phosphor screen. The images on the I.I. phosphor screen are taken all at once using a 4,872 x 3,248 pixel high-definition CCD camera, and software is used to correct the position of each image and cut out each frame (1,000 x 860 pixels) as a continuous image.
