PLATEPROOF enables highly efficient non-destructive testing of plates using ultrasound. It combines the latest ultrasonic electronics to detect defects in inspected materials with a robust, easy-to-maintain system design. The system is built to withstand the harsh operating conditions typical of rolling lines.

- High system availability - The use of proven, robust modules and powerful modern components provides high system availability. ・Inspection is possible in one pass - Can be individually adapted to specific plate dimensions for in-line or offline use - High test volume - Fast test cycle for each plate allows high test volume to be achieved. Short cycle times are achieved through optimized control sequences using Siemens' latest control technology ・Highly sensitive and highly reproducible flaw detection - achieved with the latest ultrasonic electronics Automatic quality assessment and logging of plates - performed by evaluation software according to official or individually defined inspection criteria ・Plate re-evaluation - based on saved test data

・Flaw detection width: 900 to 5,400mm (individual detection tracks overlap) ・Carriage for edge inspection: When the undetected vertical and horizontal edges are 5 mm or less ・Flaw detection sensitivity: up to FBH2 ・Flaw detection speed: Maximum 1m/s (when using flaw detection sensitivity FBH2) ・Automatic quality evaluation in accordance with international standards: API SPEC 5L K.1, ASTM A435/A435M, ASTM A578/A578M, DNVGL-ST-F101, EN 10160, GOST 22727-88, JIS G 0801, JIS G 0901, KS D 0040, KS D 0233, VDEh Compliant with international standards such as SEL-072 ・In-house standards editor: For individual evaluation ・Target materials: carbon steel and high alloy steel ・Individual inspection applications: clad plate, step plate, etc.
