■About vitrified whetstones
・This whetstone uses clay, glass, etc. as raw materials and is fired at a high temperature of 1,200 to 1,300 degrees. It has the characteristics of easy removal of chips due to the size of the pores, resistance to thermal deformation, and a wide range of particle sizes available. Therefore, it can be applied to a wide range of workpiece materials.

■Flat type whetstone

-Uses carbon-based abrasive grains and is characterized by its toughness and extremely hardness.

■Ceramic type (polycrystalline ceramic type)
・Abrasive grains composed of uniform submicron crystals.
・The target workpieces are general steel, alloy steel, and hardened steel as well as alumina-based materials, but the abrasive grains are specialized for grindability and durability.
