This book explains the basics of voltage regulation and describes commonly used circuit topologies. The mechanical design of the power module and its implications for EMC and thermal management are also discussed. ``The ABCs of Power Modules'' provides numerous practical tips on layout, control and circuit issues, and covers storage and handling, manufacturing and soldering processes. A separate chapter describes the measurement procedures necessary to obtain meaningful results for power module evaluation. Finally, we provide a guide for selecting modules based on important parameters and criteria.
