A large amount of silica is contained in the earth's crust, and about 60 % of the surface is composed of minerals containing silica. However, most of them are silica sand and silicon stones, low purity, and those that are mined in Japan are almost used as plate glass and cement materials.
High -purity silica exceeding 99.9%is indispensable as high -performance materials such as solar panels, semiconductor fillers, optical fibergleds, ultra -high -purity optical glass, fibers coating, optical equipment, LCD glass, etc. It is a raw material.
