About This Product

A Hall IC is a magnetic sensor that incorporates a Hall element and a signal conversion circuit into one package. We have a lineup of products with various motion types that meet your needs.

■Bipolar detection

Bipolar detection type detects magnetism regardless of magnetic polarity. Mainly used for proximity switches.

■SH248 Power-saving high-sensitivity bipolar detection type Hall IC

SH248 is a power-saving, high-sensitivity bipolar detection Hall IC designed using advanced CMOS technology. An awake/sleep controller, Hall element, offset cancellation circuit, chopper-stabilized small signal amplifier, Schmitt trigger circuit, and open-drain output are integrated on a single silicon chip. Intermittent operation significantly reduces current consumption (average).

■Features

・High sensitivity (3mT typ.) ・Low power consumption suitable for battery operation (10μA typ.) ・Higher reliability than reed switches ・Small package (QFN2020-3)

■Applications

・Non-contact switch ・Lid open/close sensor for battery-powered devices ・Magnetic proximity sensor replaces reed switch (low duty cycle)
