This fitting design is ideal for applications with high flow rates and minimal pressure drops and provides a leak-free permanent connection. This connection method is made possible by melting and joining both ends.

A Parbond joint is joined by heating the two surfaces to a molten state using a non-contact heating source, pressing the two surfaces together, and allowing sufficient time to cool. Permanent connections are possible with proper techniques that do not introduce foreign objects or dirt.
